Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/), announced a new weekly radio show featuring two of the industry’s leading sports journalists Dan Wetzel and Pat Forde on Yahoo! Sports Radio. The show will bring two of the biggest names from Yahoo! Sports together to share their opinions and analysis of the biggest sports stories in a fast paced, entertaining show. The show will debut on Thursday, May 17th on over 80 affiliates nationwide, including Yahoo! Sports Radio’s flagship station, KGOW in Houston Texas and airs Thursday evenings from 8:00-10:00 p.m. EST. Wetzel and Forde’s show extends the partnership between Yahoo! Sports – the No. 1 destination for online sports with nearly 50 million monthly unique users in the US,* and Gow Broadcasting, L.L.C., which distributes audio content under the Yahoo! Sports Radio brand name.

Dan Wetzel, Yahoo! Sports national columnist, brings more than two decades of sports reporting to the newly launched show, giving Yahoo! Sports Radio fans access to his extensive sports experience. As an award-winning sportswriter, author and screenwriter he has covered all levels of basketball, football, baseball, and hockey along with four Olympics. In each of those areas Wetzel is recognized by his in-depth look into the personalities and business of sports, offering fans a complete look into the games they are passionate about. In addition to these insights, fans can expect Wetzel to share the ground-shattering investigative stories he’s become known for, including uncovering NCAA violations at the University of Connecticut, Ohio State, and the University of Miami. His wide reaching relationships and unique story-telling angles will set the tone for the newly launched show’s authentic and knowledgeable voice.
Joining Wetzel is Pat Forde, Yahoo! Sports national college columnist, and one of the most recognized names in college sports. A 25 year veteran in the world of sports reporting, Forde has collected fans and awards as a writer, author and commentator in newspapers and online, now he adds radio to the line-up.
