I don’t know who the “The Greatest Olympic Athlete Ever” is but I don’t think I’ll ever see anyone do what Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt have accomplished. When you’re doing things that people describe with words like “never before done in Olympic history” I think that speaks for itself. Also, before former American track and field great and National Anthem singer Carl Lewis starts questioning the Jamaican drug testing policy, Carl better go back and look at his drug test results before the 1988 Olympic Games.
If I were U.S. hurdlers Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells I’d be jealous and angry too. These two are the American women who actually WON medals in the 100 meter hurdles at the London Olympic Games. But they won’t make more endorsement money than the woman who finished fourth, Lolo Jones. Is it fair? Of course it isn’t fair. But life ain’t fair. Jones has a good personality, has done a great job of marketing herself and getting her compelling life story out to the public…and oh yeah, she’s hot too. I have a feeling if she looked like Terry Ford folks wouldn’t pay as much attention to Lolo.
I am already tired of the New York Jets. All of this blather about a team that didn’t make the play-offs and has two below average quarterbacks. We’re actually debating a quarterback battle between Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow? It’s like debating who would win a race between a Ford Pinto an AMC Pacer. Why does anyone care? Because it’s NYC baby! If you moved this team and coaching staff to Jacksonville, no one would care.
Dwight Howard has been traded….THANK YOU BASKETBALL GODS!!!! At this point I don’t care where Dwight Howard was traded, I just wanted this mess over. Basically, the Lakers committed robbery. They should have to wear stocking masks to the press conference. Los Angeles basically traded Howard for Andrew Bynum and didn’t have to give up Pau Gasol in the process. Both players have holes in their games but I’ll take Howard, you can have Bynum and I’ll beat you 9 out of 10 times. As annoying and childish as Dwight has been, I’ll take him any day over Bynum, who is 24 going on 14.
Well, that’s enough for now. I know…I think I now need a nap.
